According to our study, we figured out that coffee lovers like their coffee being served:

  • 42% enjoy coffee brewed by a barista at a café or restaurant.
  • 38% prefer making their own coffee using packaged products like ground coffee and coffee beans.
  • 20% opt for ready-to-drink coffee options.
 

Meanwhile tea drinks fans like:

  • 62% enjoy tea brewed from packaged tea products such as tea bags and powdered tea.
  • 20% prefer drinking tea at cafés, restaurants, or food stalls.
  • 18% choose ready-to-drink tea beverages.

 

Top Coffee and Tea Brands in Indonesia

·       Favourite Ready-To-Drink Brands

Our data shows that Indonesians have a wide variety of ready-to-drink coffee brands to choose from, with Good Day, Nescafe, Golda, and Kopi Kenangan leading the market. These brands offer diverse flavors and packaging options that cater to different preferences, whether for a quick caffeine boost or a leisurely sip.

On the other side, for tea lovers, Teh Pucuk Harum, Teh Botol Sosro, Teh Kotak, and Frestea rank as the most preferred ready-to-drink tea brands. These brands are known for their refreshing flavors and wide availability, making them a go-to option for consumers who enjoy bottled or canned tea beverages.

Coffee culture continues to thrive in Indonesia, with a variety of coffee shop brands competing for attention. Among the most popular are Kopi Kenangan, Starbucks, Point Coffee, and Janji Jiwa. These brands offer a mix of international coffee flavors and local specialties, appealing to different consumer preferences.

Tea lovers are not left behind, as many well-known tea shop brands provide unique and flavorful options. Es Teh Indonesia, Es Teh Poci, Chatime, and Tong Tji are widely favored for their ability to blend traditional tea flavors with modern variations, including bubble tea and fruit-infused teas.

Instant coffee remains a convenient option for many Indonesians who want a quick caffeine fix. Kapal Api, Good Day, Nescafe, and Luwak White Koffie dominate the instant coffee segment, offering a balance between affordability, taste, and convenience.

However, instant tea is also a popular choice, particularly for those who prefer a quick and easy tea-making process. Sariwangi, Tong Ji, Teh Poci, and Teh Celup Sosro lead the market, providing various flavors and options that suit different preferences.
