Hence, in December 2024, Snapcart conducted a survey about Indonesians’ preferences and habits when it comes to using condiments, and here’s what we found.
In this study, we discovered that condiments are indeed very popular in Indonesia, that 94% of Indonesians enjoy consuming them, either as part of their meals or while cooking. However, 6% of respondents avoid condiments due to the following reasons:

Moreover, this research also revealed that condiments have been part of Indonesians’ lifestyle, that many of them (49%) …
- consume condiments daily, displaying their integral role in daily meals.
- 25% use them once every few days.
- Smaller percentages consume condiments less frequently, such as once a week (9%), once a month (2%), or even less often.
Interestingly, 11% decide based on their mood, while 2% only use condiments if they are part of a food package at events or restaurants.
