Free delivery promotions are one of the most common promotions being offered by e-commerce retailers in Indonesia. Knowing that, is it really that significant at all compared to, say, direct discounts and promotions? We ask Indonesian consumers regarding how free delivery promotions affect their online shopping behavior, and these are what we found.
Shipping costs are very important for 69% of Indonesian consumers, and this is reflected by how 37% answered they’re less likely to keep shopping from an online store if they no longer have free shipping. Even for those who do not shop online, 23% answered that they are not interested in shopping online due to their reluctance to pay shipping costs.
